Like most authors I love chatting up my writing passions and characters with readers and curious visitors at our table out at Craft Fairs. Yesterday’s Christmas Craft Fair in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia kept me energized and chatting throughout the day. So many happy fun faces stopped by to check out Elsie’s knitted wares or my books. Met several who spent time at HMCS Cornwallis Boot Camp as a recruit or family member of a serving member. Since its shutdown the base and especially its old barracks sure have gone downhill. An eyesore for those who served and completed our entry training at Cornwallis. My time there wasn’t yesterday, a year or two has passed since my boot camp days. However, they’ll always trigger fond memories on being recalled.
